    I can weld, it's always worth it. Actually it's only about an inch and a half

    I had a friend look at it. His remarks were something like "And just what the **** am I supposed to weld to?" The front passenger seat where it bolts through the floor and to the frame...well there wasn't any frame lip to bolt to.

    I had a Reese hitch on it, was at work and need to pull a boat that was beached up further on the beach so I looped a rope around the hitch and eased forward to put some tension on it. The Jeep then lunged forward and ripped the hitch off the frame.
