    Sorry mom!

    It's always the same....dang kids.

I finally saw deer in my yard tonight!!!! I was beginning to think they would never come back after the craziness here during hunting season and with the idiot neighbor but I was fixing dinner and looked up to see one at the front bird feeder picking up seed from the ground. Looked out the back window and six more were in my back yard with snow up to their bellies trying to walk around. I will have to put some food out for them tomorrow...poor things are having a hard time finding stuff to eat with all this snow on the ground. They all looked well fed though so they must be finding acorns or something. Last winter, I had 23 that were outside my bedroom window every morning. I have missed watching them.

When the idiots over populate and hunt too small an area the deer head for the hills.

There were 15 stands on the properties that border ours. All the stands were on the other owners' properties but facing our woods. DNR couldn't do anything unless we actually could prove they were shooting across the property line. Several that were shot required tracking through our property...stirring up all the deer that were trying to bed down in safer areas, etc. There was a farmer that is about a half mile north of us that had a bunch of depredation tags so a LOT were taken from his property too. I know a lot of those were deer that traveled through here daily.

I am just so glad to see some of them coming back. I enjoy them even if they do eat some of my flowers and shrubs and stuff.

My BIL has the same issues as does another friend out west. These guys do not have enough land to actually hunt so they look towards the property line and into others land.
BIL made regular loops around his property in his Kubota. Pi$$ed off a few off the neighbors. Buddy out west cut down a few trees. Found 2 on his side of the line.
