I'll let a Indy native comment. I think that's the school my cousin did his student teaching in and he wasn't ever going back.

The east side is not a safe area. I'd say east side would be one of the worst areas of Indy, if not the worst. My wife has worked down there for 2 years. Thankfully she is starting a new position that will put her behind a desk and not in people's homes.
