    Thanks for the link V8

And thank you for sharing those pictures Sylvain!

    No problem.
There are hundreds of places like that with bunkers.
In a city a street as a U shape to go around a bunker, since they couldn't move the bunker when they built the street.
Some bunkers are also underground, and since there is no map to know where they are they sometimes find one when they dig to build a new building.
And it's almost impossible to remove a 60 years old bunker sealed in the ground.

    No.

Disclaimer- posting on iPhone so I don't know of I quoted the right post.

Huh...you would think as large of a forum as this one, they'd at least support mobile

I'd consider being a supporting member if it was mobile. I think they are missing out on market share because of this.

Those are cool! I can't imagine living that close to all that history!!! Thanks again for sharing them!! If you have any more I for one would love to see them! :D

    I can add LOTS more.
We had a bunker even inside our highschool that we could see from the history class room. :)
We didn't have far to go for historical trips. :):

Also much villages didn't change much since the end of WW2, you can still recognize places like restaurants and cafés from all pictures where you see a GI Jeep parked in front.
You just have modern cars parked in front now but everything looks just the same.
Well you can still see WW2 cars too.My neighbor has a US Jeep with all the original military markings, the white star and the US flags.
The Jeep is still in Normandy and has be driven for 60 years.
Last year on the beach to celebrate the D Day we had a meeting of US military trucks of WW2.
With people dressed as GIs and even some French veterans.
You had flags from France, UK, the US, Canada and other Allied countries all over the town.
