I can't find any 45-70 ammo to save my freaking life.. WTH, I buy the damn gun, and now I can't find ammo!!

Bought the last 2 boxes I could find in the St Joseph / Elkhart County Area...

I don't know about you guys, but $30 / box PLUS shipping is crazy :D

40 rounds will due for breaking it in :)

I ended up buying the 1895GBL at Midwest yesterday... I looked it over real good, didn't see anything I was concerned about so I just bought it. I attempted to cycle some ammo through it last night, and of course.... It jammed.

Luckily, it was a simple fix. Overly stiff extractor. Pry'd on it a little bit with some precision pliars, after a couple adjustments (didn't want to pry too much) It cycled just fine. (glad I did lots of reading, or else I would've been PISSED)

I'm planning on shooting it this weekend down in Plymouth with my dad. Can't wait!

Yup, I'm kinda glad its a little dimmer. If I need something brigher my 6PX Pro is 200 lumens, so I'm covered :D

So you're gonna carry 2 lights now? :stickpoke:

So how much better is it than your PT1L?

    Chuck doesn't have a PT1L.

    But to compare. . . .

    PT1L runs on 1 CR123 battery-- L2 runs on 2.

    PT1L pumps 110 lumens-- L2 pumps 100.

PT1L is about half the size of the L2.

PT1L has a strobe mode-- L2 does not.

PT1L has a clicky tailcap-- L2 has the "tactically correct" pushbutton tailcap.

PT1L is made by Streamlight. L2 is made by Surefire.

    Those are the basics.

Wonder why at half the output it also has half the runtime though :dunno:

Its just older technology. That light was introduced around 2006 IIRC. It was crazy bright for the time.
