Sadly thats probably right since a LEO cant possible prove how much light the tint lets through

Again. Whatever the officer wants it to be. I've had friends pulled over for tint and they were legal. Officer says well it doesn't look legal to me and writes a ticket. This was way back though so who knows. Maybe they have a way to measure tint now.

that's it. But normally they won't bother you for that unless it does look really dark, or they have some other reason to pull you over. I've had alot of friends run 20% or even 5% and not have a problem.
