Sigh.....$600 in A/C parts and the ****ing thing still doesn't work. clutch will not engage. Power to the leads is good. Jump the compressor and the clutch engages.

    Cars suck :D

Picked grapes this morning, waiting on the grass to dry out before mowing. Yield was down 80% this year due to bad early black rot.

Don't know how old the car is, but modern stuff has a pressure sensor that doesn't allow the compressor to start unless the coolant is at a certain pressure.

2001 Aurora This has the sensor on the compressor. how is one going to get the Freon in the system without the clutch engaging?

I tried fixing the AC on my 2001 Dodge Ram and ran into a similar problem, finally gave up and paid to have it fixed. After fixing a line leak and recharging it he told me that modern setups aren't like the 60s and 70s stuff I was familiar with.

The landlord and I were out there at 6 this morning trying to beat the heat. took about 3 hours. We did notice that if I need to ever change the alternator the radiator, condenser and fans have to come off. No way to get the alternator out otherwise.

They are ripe already down there? Wow.

Frontenacs ripen early, but if I don't get them now the critters will strip what I have. Had to chase a flock of turkeys away yesterday, they were jumping up and picking the grapes off the vines.

Compressor went out on mine. System was still good, no contaminates or moister. The oil we drained out was clear and debris free.

I might have to do that, not that I want too.
