Union Carpenter....couldn't think of which trade she was in until after I posted.

If anyone in the construction industry goes on strike, I'm on hold...we're not union, but we work on a lot of union jobs. If the jobs aren't working, we aren't working.

I'm not sure what the rally was for, but it had to do with cutting wages I think. Hmmmm...she isn't working right now so I'm not sure what is up with that. Seems like she should be back to work by now. She worked quite a bit in Illinois last year and road work should be starting back up soon.

I walk by the construction site every day on campus and think: "I'd love to operate a freakin' crane."

I was out there last week. X-raying concrete. I've never been up in a crane, let alone a tower crane...that ain't no joke. Climb up in the morning, climb down when you go home. Eat lunch up there. Take a break up there. :poop: up there...

How was the concrete? Also, did you tell them to hurry the hell up?

So...does he have a pooper in the crane or...does he brown bag that too?

Hubby HATED cranes. He mostly did the backhoe work. They always gave him the deep stuff...30' and more. Had to work around the guys down in the hole and use trench boxes and stuff to keep the dirt from caving in on them. He hated it...very stressful for him.

Bills, that parking garage is never going to get built. The company doing it is ridiculously slow and barely knows WTH they are doing...

Concrete was cracking, they were concerned. I looked at it and told them what was in there. Rebar, go figure.

Bucket, I'm not sure if it's brown or not...well, the inside probably is...
