And chez, I don't use water when I smoke. One could add a water pan to help with the moisture in the meat.

Just ordered one.....
What rings do those take???
1 inch rings. That's a steal of a price. I had to go with extra high rings to clear my welded sights and charging handle. But if you have a flat-top AR you can probably clear the scope bell with Mid-Height rings.
I would eat that!I think I'm gonna try an indirect setup on my Weber kettle to get the higher heat you suggested. I smoked a whole eye-of-round beef roast recently in this fashion and it turned out amazing.
My drum maxes out around 330° (at least until I get an air controller to stoke it up a bit).
Cool. I may have a set.
Oh....and I got your ...................
lol
I think the xtra highs I have are 1.5 high, think you need at least 3/4 maybe even 1 inch to clear the objective bell end. That scope comes with a 3 inch sun shade as well.
Ok, you guys inspired me to grill the ribeyes that are in the freezer. Got taters for baking and spinach for salad.
I have to eat one before I can make a decision.I make some mean pork kabbobs every once in a while, a good lemon juice, olive oil, and special fresh spices in a 48 hour marinade, then onto the grill!
