I looked into the Savage Arms 22's like you suggested. I found one I really liked. I happened to show my dad today, and, well, he's buying one at Bradis this weekend. So yeah, I'm a little jealous now. I wish I had the money to get one this weekend too. Here's a picture of it.

I had that same model in .17hmr. I liked it alot but was forced to sell it. I plan on buying another one,one of these days but I think Ill go with a .22 magnum instead of .17hmr. the scopes they come with arent to bad either.
my favorite savage rifle was a thumbhole laminate stock 17hmr..that thing was tack driver! Ill see if I can rustle up a pic.

I have a 22 Magnum. It's a Marlin.
The first one is my Mossy 500 20 gauge. Then my Ruger Mini 14. Then my Marlin 22 Magnum. Nothing fancy. But these are the only long guns I have. So far anyway.
