    Have you considered a dedicated .22 upper? Not that cheap but same manuals of arms to train with:dunno:

    Yeah I have thought about this. I haven't researched it at all yet. What kind of cost am I looking at? How hard is it to switch back and forth?

    I'm pretty much an AR noob. I can clean it, and shoot it, and buy expensive stuff for it, but that's about it...

    As far as I know it's easy to switch, pop out the 2 pins holding the upper and lower together and switch them, I have no idea on cost:dunno:

    I think its the two pins and a different bolt carrier which will probably come with the upper if its a dedicated upper.

    As far as cost, I think they are about the same price as the M&P 15-22

    :twocents:I would get the 15-22 if the $ is close, it's not the best weapon for defense but it is another weapon if you need it
