Whenever I've hunted it's been for the meat. So any advantage I can get is fair game to me. I can't count the number of days I've sat in the cold and saw absolutely NOTHING!

I did it the other day to see how long it took to go from the water to the bottom of the cliff.
To kinda get an impression of what the GIs did on D-Day (minus the German machine guns on top of the cliff).

I just had a 15ish pounds backpack.

We did battle drills in wet sand and mud, if you hit a soft spot and your feet sunk it's just like glue, stop you on a dime in a dead run.

Yeah plus you have rocks burried in the sand so it's easy to trip and fall.
