Staff meeting at the Columbia Club Thursday night. They had Indiana City beer. Tried the new Son of War Blonde Ale. Amazing.

Smooth (12 IBU) and moderate ABV. Looking forwarding to trying this in hot weather.

    Oh, Belgian Blonde!

I was thinking you were describing an American Blonde Ale, which no one ever has labelled "Amazing". The ones I judge highly all get descriptors like "Bland" or "Inoffensive" or "No discernible character".

Picked up "some" super cheap craft beer and its a killer deal. The best one is the Horny Goat, Horny Blonde. The appearance is a light golden color with a thin white head. The aroma is malt and fruit (sweetness) up front with some hops on the back end. The taste is malt and grain. Overall, a good easy drinking beer at 5%, will be great for spring and summer.

The place had 3 different beers from Horny Goat and a case (24/12oz cans) was $7.99 or 2 for $10.

Tried the Horny Goat, Laka Laka (Pineapple Hefeweizen) today.
Too sweet for me, but might be good on a really hot summer day. Not much real hefeweizen flavor here, but more of a flavored wheat beer (maybe like a Shock Top). Pours a deep cloudy yellow and a big head. Overall, decent but really sweet.

Found a good one if you are into IPAs. Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange IPA.

Not too hoppy, and the orange rounds out the flavor.

The sidecar and their tropical torpedo are both excellent! I don’t think I’ve ever had a Sierra Nevada beer I didn’t like.

I think they have one that is just over the top hops that I just couldnt stomach. I think it was double dry hopped. It was just too bitter. But overall they make good beers.

Founders has been selling 15 packs of good berr pretty cheap lately -Azacca IPA has been on the shelves at Meijer.

It's a good IPA, not that cloudy, weak, fad s***.
