Just sent a check to my Sister to purchase my Grandfathers 1966 C10. I rode in the back of that truck as a kid to town, to the fields to help him farm. I had the Chevy green paint with white trim before my Brother in law started to customize it.

The three on the tree was replaced with a tilt steering column from a Monte Carlo. The three speed manual trans and six banger was swapped out for a TH400 trans. The motor was the first racing engine that I ever built. Small journal 327 with TRW forged Pistons. The carb is a Buddy Baker 390 that runs like a dream.

The truck has spent it's whole life in Alabama but is coming home with me in July when I make a trip down to get it.

The body work is mostly done but needs repainted all the same color. (Looking for a painter)

The engine bay will need some attention too.

Those 1989 trolling motor blade wheels could use an update/curb/sledgehammer. Other than that, (and besides it's a chevy) nice truck Gman.

    Trucks....been there.

Bought this one totaled. Replaced all the front sheet metal with 1996 pieces. Took a bit of effort to hang it on a 1988 body/frame but it paid off. Did the aero kit as well. 460 gasser. It would pull anything you hooked it to. We pulled a 30ft enclosed race trailer with it for a few years.
I sold it to a good friend in 2005 I think. He still uses it.

Put Dana 44's front/rear under it.
Transfer case from a 1 ton with power take off for a winch.
    46" Monster Mudders.
350 chevy out of a wrecked 70 Z-28 I had stashed. Headers etc.
Dual batterys and an alternator from an ambulance.

This bike was the last Jap scrape I owned for the street.
It was a build up from 2 bikes. A KZ frame and an LTD front end for the twin disks.
1105 cc with a highly ported head and big compression.
    30mm Mikuni's
    Super trap header.
    Cams and big valves.
    It was stupid fast.

Here's my toy. Not much done to it just simple bolt on stuff mainly exhaust and suspension. Anymore I only drive it a couple times per year so I've been considering selling to fund a boat purchase and free up some garage space.

I used to be into trucks.

Went a lot of places wheeling and camping in this one.

It was inspired by my old Suburban that died of cancer...

MY 66 F100 was my favorite, and the most cool.

I even lived in one for a semester at ISU right after Desert Storm.
This was before I got on the Black truck with red wheels kick...

Here is my 1987 Kawasaki Ninja 250, aka as a GPZ 250 or ZX-2.
I've blacked it out to get rid of the original white wheels. Also painted the fork tubes and rear set brackets. Made custom diamond plate side covers at the factory ones were fabric. It also has pipes from a 1200 HD Sportster. The mufflers were free and cost me a 12 pack of Bud to have them welded up. They have a low rumble at low engine speed but really sing above 6,000 (where the bike spends most of its time anyway)
Horsepower rating from the factory was 29......at the crank.

It's not fast. Tops out about 90 mph, with a tail wind. But it does handle like a scalpel.

Kawasaki only imported this body style for 86 + 87 before they changed it. Those 2 years had bigger carbs and were geared more for highway speeds than the 1988 and following years.

It sits in peices in my garage. I started to adjust the valves in 2011 and realized I had an English/standard feeler gauge, not a metric one. Took me about 4 months to find the right gauge. Just never got back to it. I keep telling myself I need to get it back together but it seems there is just not the time.

    ^^This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Morphed into this.
Dave Schultz 1988 Pro Stock body work.
Engine grew to 1440 with "ALL" the goods.
More work on the head (J model) than I can describe.
36mm flat slides from Dave Schultz racing.
    Hooker header.
    MTC slipper clutch.
Andrews gear box air shifted on timers.
    Crower spec ground Cams.
    Dyna ignition.
    Ram air........
Lots and lots and lots of cool stuff.
I managed to run low 8's on it but a much lighter friend near went 8 flat. Needed more tire.

Apparently the A/C business has been good to you CM.

    It has.
My darling wife made smashing money as well.
I always worked every angle available.
I made excellent money at my job and working with the local race teams.
This bike was a child of the 80's. I was on the rick Hendrick GTP Corvette team as a well paid weekend warrior and assisted at nights in the shop on Gasoline alley. Made serious money there.
Plus I was building race engines for street and track racers. Kawasaki's Yamaha's and Suzzy's.

Figured I could sleep when I died....:):
