Looks like a productive day, Mouse.

Heres mine. Let that old fan sit in a mix of Marvel and WD over the long weekend, it helped loosen it up, but it was still stiff. When all else fails, start twisting things..... I figured out how to take it apart and got everything all cleaned up, lubed it and put it back together. Replaced the dried up vacuum hoses and gave it a whirl, works perfect! Certain to be an interesting conversation piece at the car shows.

Then I finally was able to get the glove box open to get the clock out. Started working on it in an attempt to get her to run again. Nothing was stuck, fuse was blown. Replaced fuse, squirted some WD on the workings and applyed power. She started right up! Automatic winder is not working, will look at that more tomorrow. Love these old clocks.

I need to fix my exhaust after thanksgiving... I gave an open header ride with 2 of my cousins and one cousins boyfriend. The driveway was full so I had to pull out through the yard, upon driving back in the yard I hit it a little hot and there just so happens to be a huge bump there, couple that wth the fact that there were 4 full size men in a lowered car.... The LR tailpipe is now rubbing the tire. Looks like the bolt fell out.

You need to get some proper Lube in that clock rusty.
    WD-40 will dry out.
Working on that. Got it working properly today. I failed to check the fuse holder for corrosion when I replaced it. The spring was green. Cleaned it off and she wound right up, kept perfect time for two hours. Now to do as you say and lube her properly and stick it back in the car.

No. We would have some affordable vintage iron and not this crop of over priced crap.
I was thinking more of the scrap comment. I too think it's ridiculous the prices people are asking, I don't see many selling though. There are still good deals to be had out there, but it's hard to find them on Craigslist...

    Idiot watches Barret Jackson.
Remembers uncles old 66 Biscayne in the shed.
Advertises it as a 65 and asks stupid money for it.
Mouse and Hornet discuss this idiocy in the hot rod thread.
Neither of us nor most anyone will consider buying that turd anyway.

And yes, it is a turd.
