    I got in late. I had twelve MB of HD and I think 144 KB of ram. I mostly used ms dos programs because windows was unwieldy.

    Many of the dos programs were fabulous and fast, I miss the fun.

    I had a 286 with 3.1.

    8088 with MS-DOS. Actual typed commands!!! No mouse needed.. And the Radio Shack sales person told me when I added my hard drive to it that I'd never fill it up. All 20MB of it. Never mind the 2nd 5.25" floppy and the acoustic coupler modem.

    Yer both old farts. I must be too. I sold both of those. :):

    Youngsters. All of ya.

    My first was a Commodore Vic20. That rights. 20K of RAM, with a 16K expansion module, and a cassette tape "drive". Took an hour to load my favorite game, which meant flipping the cassette after 45 minutes.
