8088 with MS-DOS. Actual typed commands!!! No mouse needed.. And the Radio Shack sales person told me when I added my hard drive to it that I'd never fill it up. All 20MB of it. Never mind the 2nd 5.25" floppy and the acoustic coupler modem.

I got in late. I had twelve MB of HD and I think 144 KB of ram. I mostly used ms dos programs because windows was unwieldy.

Many of the dos programs were fabulous and fast, I miss the fun.

I had a 486 with 3.1. Had that one for a long time. My next computer has XP. I feel like I played that one perfectly.

...until my next computer after that with Vista.

Youngsters. All of ya.

My first was a Commodore Vic20. That rights. 20K of RAM, with a 16K expansion module, and a cassette tape "drive". Took an hour to load my favorite game, which meant flipping the cassette after 45 minutes.
