Betting odds show Sanders winning 13 of 14 Super Tuesday races

That would get almost all of the others to drop out. I'd see only 1-2 others sticking around after that.

I think the race will look much different by Wednesday. Regardless who else remains, I kinda think Bloomy can stay in it indefinitely. I do think he got in it to try to win it. But short of that he can have a lot of influence by remaining a candidate no matter how hopeless his chances are. As a candidate he can throw as much money as he wants at political ads smearing both Trump and Sanders, and being a sympathetic surrogate for whoever has the political strength to oppose Bernie.

Not me. I love what he says.

Hey. It's good TV. The little black children feeling the hair on his legs was a bit creepy though. But the other stuff is great comedy.

ETA: Oh. You meant Trump. Yeah. I could do without a lot of his tweets. Some are good and actually help him. Many not so much.

A Sanders victory on Super Tuesday is impossible I have been told Democrats are just about like Trump supporters!
The Democratic base is a god fearing gun clinging bunch who would never vote for a Socialist!

Bloomberg is too transactional. He reminds me of an westerner who won't haggle and just wants to know what the price of the thing he wants is so he can pay it and be done with it. I think folks drastically overestimate how many Democrats actually care about having a sane and viable candidate first and foremost. Sticking it to Trump has taken the plkace of sticking it to the man, and the more they hear the siren call of Bernie's supposed ability to beat Trump in the general, the more they will flock to Bernie's banner

 Who told you that? You know, it doesn't take a majority to win a primary, right? It's actually a problem with primaries, because the way it's done advantages fringe candidates with a cult following over the mainstream contingent of a party. The fringe candidate has their loyal following, and then the mainstream vote is split among the remaining candidates.

That line, I imagine, you’ve described, the majority of older Black voters. At least in the South.

Isn't that just a description of twitter? Doesn't Trump fit right in?

Yeah. I think sticking it to Trump is most important for democrat voters. I think for awhile, Bernie split the radical progressive vote with Elizabeth Warren. But it looks to me like Lizzie lost that battle with Bernie over his alleged "sexist" remarks. The polling shows that they were neck and neck back in November, and Bernie gradually pulled away until about the time Lizzie accused him of saying a woman couldn't win. Then Bernie's polling shot up, as hers plummeted. Biden's support dropped the most, and Bloomy appeared to be the biggest recipient of that.

Overall, of the candidates who are still seriously in it now in terms of national polling, Biden and Warren are the biggest losers. Everyone else kinda gained, and it all happened rather drastically immediately after the Feb 8 debate.

I think Bernie has and will absorb a lot of the people who tend to put their support behind the person they think will win. But, regardless of who wins the nomination, even if it's Bernie, it would be a mistake to think Democrats will care about the sanity of their choice. They'll vote for Bernie because they're voting for not-Trump.

Lock up your kids Saturday night because Biden will be partying like it's 1999.

He's not going to win Saturday so he will mentally quite and be ready to relax. Of course there won't be an official announcement until he also gets trounced on Super Tuesday when he "leaves for the good of the party". I think he has been waiting for a reason to leave the campaign trail for weeks because he knows he will never sit in the Big Boy chair and with all these democratic candidates, running a campaign is just not fun anymore. I am sure he would prefer a good old fashion campaign with a smoke filled room, hard liquor, and a few guest from Epstein's stable.

Howbout the last part. They would never vote for a socialist?

I think it depends on age WAY more than race. Poll after poll shows that acceptance of socialism goes down with age. And I'm pretty sure it's not as much a function of age itself as it is the era in which one was raised and educated.

Our favorite saying, follow the money, may be more relevant than polls. I recently read the Biden, Warren, Pete, and Amy all need at least $10 million and an effective deployment of that money, to stage a competitive Super Tuesday. That is not happening...

I read somewhere that he didn't really want to run, that he was talked into running because Democrats thought he would be the defacto winner. Don't know how true that is. But it is true that before the race started, and even before he announced, that he was treated by a lot of pundits as the guy to beat. But then history hasn't always been kind to the odds on favorites. Like Jeb!

Quite so. I stand by my supposition that Bernie is the Trump of the left, to the extent that he is a long shot candidate but seems so much more authentic than the competition and an alternative to business as usual. I have difficulty guaging the strength of the reaction since Trump was more a reaction to the impression America was circling the drain while progressives pretty much had everything going their way prior to Trump. The question becomes will the reaction to losing one after a string of 'successes' be as strong as the reaction that a candidate was the last hope/gasp of the America that was

I absolutely think Bernie will be the candidate and have for some time, and although we certainly should not get complacent I think America in the breech will not elect a Socialist of any stripe

They did make Hillary the winner because they thought she couldn't be beat in the general. The king makers are often wrong.

Certainly does make for a high stakes game.
