I had my sound turned all the way up and could barely make out what was being said with my ear up against the speaker.

But basically he was saying that people have come from all over the world to America to escape socializm (I believe) only to have it follow them here.

It's tough to get a job without a phone number, and I want as many people currently unemployed back on the job as possible. I have been both unemployed and underemployed, and it is soulcrushing.

Do you really think combating a demographic shift this country has seen is even possible at this point.

Social issues aside, based on published budgets, Obama will increase the debt substantially more than Romney would have, and that's assuming Obamacare plays out as they plan (which I don't believe it will). To my mind, burdening future generations with our debt, through higher taxes, reduced services, or debasing the currency through monetary policy or inflation, is immoral. If I could have voted for Rand Paul, I would have, as he champions a true, balanced budget. But Romney was the lesser of two evils on debt and deficit.

Our debt-fueled lifestyle has only been able to go on this long because we had willing buyers for our T-bills. Sooner or later, another nation or nations will be viewed as equally safe harbors for foreign money. When that happens, rates will rise, and the federal deficit will explode. In this way, we will become Greece. Don't know how long it will take, but IMHO, it will happen unless we dramatically change course.

If I am to find a silver lining, perhaps Obama had to be re-elected for the nation to save itself. Like letting the drunk have one last shot of Jack. If you don't, he'll stagger home and sleep it off. If you do, he might just realize that he has a serious problem.
