Is Hot Bluing, just out of the question?
Out of the budget.

I've only had one experience with cerakote and I didn't get to experiment with it that long, but if it will hold up to lacquer thinner you could always do the dab with a toothpick and wipe off the excess to fill the roll mark.
I love the old roll mark on this gun. I was trying to figure a way to make it stand out a little but not be too over the top. If the gun was done in tungsten with the black Hogue grips I could see doing the roll mark in black somehow. That would be pretty sharp if I could figure out how to do it.
No, do not do that.
See I wasn't sure if cerakote was up to the task of lacquer thinner... I know I can do it with automotive clear coat.
It might stand up to it I am just not sure. I will put this to my "Guy"
That is way out there BA. The roll marks are not deep enough to hold the paint but who knows.......maybe.
Ceracoat will hold up to a lot but remember....it is a coating after all.
Just tossing some ideas around. I thought it was pretty subdued compared to....I don't know, the bumblebee.
Don't act like you have a secret source...we all know your "guy" is an advertiser on here who fixes up dented cars...

Nothing wrong with tossing ideas around, that's how we learn and test our current knowledge! There has to be a way!

You're no fun.
This is down the road. My finances have to recover a bit before I do anything else.
You just have to push my buttons don't you.......
They all know who my "Guy" is.
Kid comes in late and there you go.....
We may have to suspend his "dibs" privileges for a while.
