No doubt !Leather envy.
Ed Clark made holsters for a number of 1930s gun people like Elmer Keith, Ed McGivern, etc. His work was well known during his time period. I watch for these and pick them up when I can. The fern pattern you see the Colt 1903 in is the only one I have ever seen, it may be a one of.
LEATHER ENVY.
I will personally vouch that (4) of your posts have been quality posts ! (you know where to send the $'s)Dang. Someone just pointed out to me that I’m approaching 10,000 posts.
Can one of the mods check and see if I’ve gotten 50 quality posts? Need to pick up a 1911 or something in the classies.
I often see pictures of guys like this in shooting matches, Colt Officer's Models to a man, punching targets with 38 special HBWC, nail driving accuracy. A long gone era.
Ed McGivern's personal Colt OM.

Here's the Top Ten:So .... what ammo has done the best so far ?
100 years from now, they will be selling MCapo’s CZs, or a Mouse loved 1911, in 11mm. cause it’s bigger than 10mm, and it’s probably next. The Blue Mink, or the Green Weasel could be the next centuries greatest treasures. Only time will tell.Holy smoke. What does something like go for?
Here's the Top Ten:
0.73" - Hornady Frontier 55gr HP

I wouldn't get that excited about that stuff. One impressive group out of four groups is great and all, but I'm looking at the stuff that shot several good groups. The Magtech 77gr has the best 4 group avg at 1.08" followed by PPU Match 69gr at 1.26". Now the Hornady Frontier Match 62gr BTHP would have been the best 4 group average at 0.99", but I had one flyer that went 3.5" low from the group.Aha ! ..... I've been using the more expensive Hornady 68 grain Match in the Blue Mink .... maybe I should try the less expensive 55 grain HP !
The flyer is the fly in the ointment, so to speak ! At this point, I've never tried any boolits (sic) heavier than 68 grain in the Mink. Maybe I should step up my game !I wouldn't get that excited about that stuff. One impressive group out of four groups is great and all, but I'm looking at the stuff that shot several good groups. It's 1:7 and it doesn't have traditional rifling. It has polygonal rifling, like a famous Austrian Tupperware manufacturer that starts with the letter "G" and ends with "k" and has "loc" in between the first and last letter.I forgot to ask, Carlos (although I imagine that you gave the info somewhere upstream) ..... what's the twist rate in your Noveske ?
