Which Hawke would you recommend for busting lollipops at 50 to 75 yards?

Check out the Vantage line, several options of 3-9s, 4-12s, 4-16s and 6-24. I’m becoming partial to the SF lines, moves the parallax adjustment to the side of the scope instead of at the bell.

I pulled the Glenfield Marlin 25 apart this afternoon and it looks like it will be simple to free float the barrel. There’s not much to the trigger mechanism so a couple of minutes worth of polish and then I’ll try to find some lighter springs for it. I’ll pick up an optic that fits the budget for this one and take her out for a spin one of these days.

I have the 3x9AO and I think it is stellar. Bright and Clear.

T-dogg will probably chime in with a more detailed response but I thought his 4-16(?) wasn't quite a bright or sharp.

My brain doesn’t think in either of them. I much prefer the 30/30 duplex of the L4A dot. Sadly I can’t always get the reticle I want with the other features I want, I’m slowly learning to ignore the extra “stuff” in the reticle.

Wow...that's a price that makes it easy to buy more magnificantion than is needed.

I am going to have to up the game on my CZ 455FS - it just has a 2-7.

I'm tempted, but really, really want a Diamondback Tactical 6x24x50. It's more at $400, but I know the Vortex support is hard to beat and I'm loving the 4x12x40 I have on Annie right now.

Amazon typically runs $10-15 less than Hawke’s MSRP. I’ve been really happy with mine, more so given the pricing.

I just have to figure out which size and whether to go with Pachmyr or Hogues. I'm a little concerned about getting them on with that aggressive stipling.

Probably a valid concern, that is very aggressive texturing.

I'm tempted, but really, really want a Diamondback Tactical 6x24x50. It's more at $400, but I know the Vortex support is hard to beat and I'm loving the 4x12x40 I have on Annie right now.

A little more cash and you can upgrade to better glass. At least for my eyes.

Vortex are quality options. I love my Razor, hated the Viper PST and Crossfire II. I constantly fought to keep them in focus, I’m 99% it’s a me issue over the problem with the scope. We just didn’t agree.

I'm not sure what the difference is just looking at specs. Too bad there isn't a range that sells optics that lets you test it out so you know what you like!

I have that problem with my Bushnell. Not a bad scope for the money and more than adequate for 25 yards, but it's nowhere near as nice as my Diamondback Tactical.

This is an excellent example of why it is so hard to recommend scope - seems very dependent upon how YOUR eyes see the glass.

I liked it a lot better than the Bushnell and a bit less than the Diamondback Tactical. I think for the price it's a real winner.
