I look forward to those days, but my daughter is 8. My wife would get coloring books and whatever the newest baby doll is.

Mine has been in charge of all Birthday/anniversary/holiday gift buying for about 6 years now. She shops with the spouse and is in tune to her needs. I supply cash. And an occasional suggestion which is summarily ignored.

My wife does all the shopping for my dad. Then we always let him give the kids the best presents. My kids think he knows them better than anyone.

I do the big gifts for the kids. They all get 1 big gift and a lot of packages. The woman folks buy/wrap the packages. Pa-Pa gets to buy the really cool stuff.
