Sorry for the news CM. Cancer is the crappiest thing in the world for anyone and their loved ones to experience. We all know that. Lost my Dad to colon cancer in 2011 and we lost my wife's mother to cancer one week before our daughter was born in 2009. My wife and I still wake up in tears a few times a year. Not easy to deal with.

Life deals out some serious **** at times. All we can do is choose how to deal with it. I’m proud to have folks like you guys and gals to call friends. You have all shown what you are made of in how you have handled the worst crap in life with a lot of dignity and even humor. That’s the stuff that’s made this thread exceed 80,000 posts in its various incarnations.
I was once told that some days need to be dark so we can best appreciate the good days.
That's probably true but not sure that the ratio needs to be what it is sometimes.

Cancer is just horrible and everyone either has themselves or has a loved one who has dealt/ is dealing with this struggle it seems.

Took my dad @ 62 and my mother @ 67.
All the above heavy heavy smokers...
Yeah -- one could say - cancer and I have a history in my family.
