Seems to be plenty of cardinals at your cabin. Very pretty birds.

Took a sleep aid and got my moneys worth. Trying to get out of granny gear is being a serious pita.. nice morning out on the deck though. Going to take the barreled action out of the Cooper today to get the stock ready for some AllenM poison ivy mojo.

I usually have a few around here but this year there seems to be more than normal. Had 4 females on the feeder last night with quite a few in the surrounding trees. They must've put something special in the bag of sunflower seeds I picked up..

I'm surprised there is an ash tree still alive after the beetles went thru a few years ago.

No more ash trees here because of them. The little bastages took out my willow tree too. Hate those beetles with a passion.

One can never have too many cardinals !
Like many avian species, they mate for life. I like having them at the cabin, and my house.

Who likes air shows ? This is the last one we attended in 2012 (Indy cancelled their shows --- possibly the next year.
Going to the air show in Dayton, OH, this weekend. I'll miss my Air Force Thunderbirds (below), but the Blue Angels aren't shabby !
