Friday a friend who works for a vendor invited me to the 1500 to look around before the show opened. He met me at the door with a vendor pass! It was nice to look things over without the crowds to fight and was the only reason I went. I kept an eye out for powder & primers and as I thought there was not much to see. What I did find was crazy priced as expected. Primers $150 @ 1000. There were a few vendors setting up with reloading stuff, but I did not stick around to see what they had. I did look for Ruger Wrangler's and found them priced from $208 to $329. My friend's vendor will get me one for $189 if want one. I left the show 15 min after it opened just as planned!

    Morning folks. Coffee consumed.

Going through eBay to see about selling my Pokémon cards. The place I stopped yesterday made me a decent offer on just 5-6 cards, so I took that knowledge and looked them up myself… They didn’t offer me half of what they are selling for. I was willing to deal with them to avoid eBay and people, but they would have had to make me a fair offer. I understand the need to make money, but…

I’ve got a couple gun wants right now, getting back in a 1911 has been on my mind a lot recently.
A “Good” 1911 should have a coveted place in any safe especially one with military history.
My last one, the 1942 Colt my uncle passed down to me is all I have left as to pistols. It was the pistol I learned to shoot a handgun with and he was my teacher. My mentor. He schooled me well past the firing line in life. Men like him and his brother just don’t seem to exist any more.
Any way that gun has been passed to my one living sister as a family heirloom and I know she and her hubby will cherish it.
That it is in her hands gives me some peace.
