Just about the retail price online with shipping and transfer. Obviously no tax.

I found this but do not know anything about the vendor. Shipping is $9.99. They seem to have decent prices and may try something inexpensive from them just to see.

KYGUNCO had them for $699 yesterday and today, but they're now out of stock.

Question for all you sharpshooters. Do you believe in the manufacturer barrel break in, or do you do something else? Just curious as I wanted to make sure I do the right thing with the new rifle coming in.

    Clean....fire one...run a patch. Repeat a few more times.

Then run a patch every 5-10 rounds for 50 to 100 rounds or so.

    IMHO. FWIW

I would follow the manufacturer procedure if you can, but I'm skeptical that regular folks like us would ever notice a difference accuracy wise if we didn't follow it. For what it's worth, I did the procedure on the Howa 223, but not on the Howa 6.5CM or the Bergara 308. I'll probably burn in hell for that. :):

    Bergara procedure:

Thanks. I was just curious. Do you break in with the same match grade ammo you hope the gun will like, or just any old rounds? I've always used the rounds I thought/hoped the gun would like, but have heard others say they just use standard non-match grade stuff.

I personally would use a good quality brass cased target round and save match ammo for later after it's broke in.

I also found this interesting and admit I did not follow it, because I used Geco 7.62x51 168 Match ammo for break in. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought 7.62x51 was lower pressure than .308 WIN.

I did a very scientific study on barrels that I did not break in properly.

The Howa 6.5 Creedmoor had a very filthy barrel and took a while to clean after shooting.
The Bergara 308 barrel was not too bad and cleaned up quickly after shooting.

The Howa is showing great accuracy already. The Bergara is not impressing me just yet.

So, the results are: I have no freaking clue.
