I would carry one.

That would take some serious re engineering and even as a double stack wouldn't hold that many rounds. My .40 tends to eat springs in about half the time the 9 does.

USPS brought me the part I've been waiting on since last weekend...a 1911 mainspring cap pin that apparently vaporized as I was taking the SA custom from the house of mouse apart. I have no idea how it escaped but when I removed the mainspring housing the mainspring was free???

The pistol has been completely disassembled on the bench all week waiting on a couple of dollar replacement pin to arrive.

Yep. Dayton, OH on Thursday. It went wrong. So wrong we had to stop, put up a form and we will try again next week.
