Just one small example of something that I am sure we each have a similar experience.

The Mrs. needed a test (one of about 1000 this year, anyway...). Insurance Denied. $600. Doctors office called and said, "Hey, pay cash and it's only $150."

That is a lot of waste, inefficiency, over pricing and not my only example.

Heck, the insurance company even denied oxygen - said it wasn't medically necessary. Hmm?

Believe me when I say I am so over insurance. The spouse was handed off from Eskinazi health to the IU transplant team last August. She was loosing weight at a scary rate due to the intestine issues. In the transfer there was a lapse of coverage as we had to get a second policy to cover what would have and still may be devastating expenses. The new policy's would roll into effect January 1st due to our last POTUS and his socialists agenda's. The spouse near died from malnutrition.
She lost 30 pounds and was near organ shut down. Eskinazi left her out to dry. Should have put her on a TNP pic line for nourishment but did not want to do the paper work. IU met with us Jan. 15th to start the process and was freaked the hell out when they saw her. Immediately put her in the Hospital and got her on the intravenous pic feeding. She has just now gotten back to fighting weight.
Tomorrow she goes in for the 1st of what may be a series of surgery's.

    **** insurance company's.
    **** Obama.
    I am fast loosing faith.

IU transplant is the best. My former office assistant had a lung transplant there years ago and my wife’s brother just had a kidney transplant. His wife was the donor...we’ve told him he will never live that one down!

    Outstanding care.

They are the ones that pulled me through my issues with the big "C" in 2002.
They also gave my oldest son 5 more months of life when other hospitals had resigned him to passing.
They gave him the absolute best care. He passed on in 02 but as mentioned, we had some more time with him.

I'm glad to hear those stories. I burned out working for insurance and went to work for IU Health hoping it would be better, working for an organization saving lives. It is, but there is enough bad that I get discouraged at times. Glad to hear how they have positively impacted people who I know. It makes it easier to go to work for them every day :yesway:

My wife is an IU Health employee. Although a nurse, she works as a compliance officer with the legal team.

You've had some tough rows to hoe, CM.
    Peace be with you, friend.

Well..to shine some more sunshine up your skirt...

My youngest daughter spent some time at Riley (which is somehow a part of IU Health, I believe?) as a toddler and had follow-up appointments through age 20. Always been a positive experience for her plus Mom and Dad (aside from the illness part...). The quick action by our local pediatrician (who did his residency at Riley) and the aggressive care by Riley saved her life. Another 24-48 hours and the story wouldn't be the same. She was misdiagnosis by the first local doctor before we got to our pediatrician but I digress...

I've got that GGGGGGGGG...can't say it......in the car. Haven't been to range since we swapped paper for plastic. Having withdrawal...

Yep, Riley is a part of IU Health. Not sure for how long they've been a part, but they are now anyway. Always good to hear positive stories.

Sorry to hear about the lack of range time. I've been a couple of times since we met up and hope to go again on Saturday :)

Now that Point Blank has reopened, I hope to go on Wednesday. I've been there once a week since I joined, and was starting to see some improvement in my shooting .... then came falling out of the attic, and then the fire that shut them down.

I hate it when things go well and then something happens that disrupts things. Happens all the time to me when I try getting back in shape. Goes fine for a while and then I get sick, or pull a muscle and I'm not able to continue working out.

Riley saved my now 11 year old G-daughter. She would never have made 11 had we not gotten them involved. They are the absolute best.

What really sucks about his whole deal is I hate getting old and all the accompanying responsibility that goes along with it.

So I'm looking at ordering an AIWB holster for my P-01 from Cooper Custom and they are asking what cant I wish if any at all. I've never carried AIWB before so don't really know which direction to go here. What say you?

I thought AIWB didn't involve a cant? Don't know for sure, but I know most of the AIWB holsters I've looked at haven't had cant options that I can recall.

I would tend to agree but in this case the options are no cant, 5 degree cant, 10 degree cant. The pictures they show seem to have some cant when looking at the clip. It just makes me wonder which way to go with this.

I stopped IWB a long time ago. Limited options.

Some negative cant in AIWB can help to adjust the draw away from, um, a little extra around the middle. It a very personally preference. You might have to experiment a little with your safety checked ccw. Standing. Sitting. In and out of car.

I don’t appendix carry. Prefer 3-4. I knew someone that had an AD while appendix carrying. We will leave that story for another day....(wasn’t me).

Wow, and just one of several reasons for no AIWB for me. No need to have a gun (holstered or not) pointed at what I still consider to be a vital area :ingo:

I do IWB, but in a hybrid in about the 5-5:30 position.
