I was waffling on ordering a full size Dan Wesson A2 from Bud's last night. I have a commander sized A2 and it's the best fit production 1911 I've ever seen, so it's big brother should be good too. This is not the time of the year for buying stuff like that though, but with only 200 produced, it's also not something I can just pick up next spring either. So, this morning, I put it on layaway with 20% down and will complete the order before my birthday in February. I love it when a plan comes together. The last time I tried to put something on layaway, I went back and bought it within 2 days though. I'm not good at waiting sometimes.

Yeah, me and patience only have a passing familiarity, so I understand... :):

Apparently, that was the last one that they had, as it's no longer showing as in stock. I'm hoping that it's as tight as the commander A2 was. That thing makes me look like a better shooter than I am, and I can use all the help I can get.

I have more than a few that make me look acceptable.

I've recently had to miss more work lately due to medical issues that are still unclear. With that I will be putting a couple more up to move. One will be a pre-B that is setup as a SAO with F/O sights. It has all the Cajun goodness including the straight black trigger (I think it's the #6). I will probably also try to move the Ghost. It is an 85B that is a truly magnificent shooter. The only issue with the Ghost is that the right side safety doesn't move with the left. The safeties could easily be replaced and black safeties with the black hammer would probably add some contrast and look pretty good. The satin nickel compact is probably also on the table. I have always said I would never sell it but I am reconsidering that position. Of course, that one wouldn't be cheap.

Man oh man. Let me/us know if there is anything I/we can do.
    Anything.
