Been online looking for a new set of vernier calipers.
My go to Starett's went poopy on me about 6 months ago.
I cheaped out and bought a $35 set that made it about 3 months....:(
I bought a bit more expensive set of Lyman and it is just crap.

I should have just stepped up to the 1202 Starett like I wanted to originally.

I need to get a set too... It wasn't till I started looking that I realized there are two different Starett lines. One USA, one not..

    Morning folks! :coffee:

I have a mid-level set of calipers that I've had for years. I really should check their accuracy one of these mornings. I don't have guage blocks, but could use a set of valve shims and a known good micrometer to see how they measure. I picked up a cheap pair of digital calipers several years back and they are junk. I'm not a fan of digital anyways, so not a big loss. There is something satisfying about being able to know exactly what something measures down to the thousandth. That's especially true with reloading.

Hand fit up on a barrel bushing, lock up depth on a barrel, on and on.

Probably not the greatest idea I had taking my car out for a drive yesterday.. My knee has been bothering me for a week and it just happens to be my clutch leg... Was fine yesterday, hurts this morning. Hard to stay off it because I cannot sit still....
