Back from the eye Doc visit. Found out things I wanted to hear one that I did not like. The good news is my testing for diabetes is the same as last year. Better news is both eyes are now ready for cataract surgery, last year only the right eye was ready. The bad news is I have to see a retina specialist before having cataract surgery due to VMT, Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome. Not the curve ball I needed but hope to get it corrected first. It may be December before cataract surgery.
Sorry to hear that. It's tough when you have yourself pretty much set on a course of action for something that is not going to be fun, but the pros outweigh the cons, and then you get thrown a curveball. Hopefully the prognosis is good and the additional treatment won't be too bad.

    This. For sure.
Sighted in three rifles for the squirrel hunting expedition this week.20230920_123355.jpgtop right is the dead fly splatter at 27 yds with the Browning 52 repro.
Big black dot, top left was adjusting the peep on my Russky iron sight contest gun.
Lower left is last 5 at 27 yds with the Browning.
Target above that is the Izhmash Sobol at 32 yds.
32 yds for the Browning is immediately right of that one. 1st shot flyer might have been me. Each likes their own brand of ammo, of course..

Years ago a friend of mine celebrated “Talk like a pirate day” with his kids by calling his brother (kids’ uncle) and talking in a pirate voice. They all talked like pirates for 30 minutes before he realized the person on the other line wasn’t his brother. It was a stranger and he called the wrong number! True story.

@ditcherman Did a stranger randomly call you talking in a pirate voice a few years ago?!
Haha no but some days I wish someone would.

Picked up this nice PPK/S the other day for under 500.00, bid on it on Gunbroker and then promptly forgot about it until I got the email I won it. It was even in nicer condition than the pictures showed. I took it apart and hit it with some fine and extra fine scotch brite and took out any fine scratches in the SS, trigger was pretty nice on it too. It came with some big ugly wood grips but I got some new factory grips from Walther for around 26.00 so not bad. Records are not available for these older Interarms guns but with some research it's from approximately 1997-1998. I was also bidding on a nice PPK blued in .32 and was winning it at around 700.00 until the end when the real bidders showed up.

I’ll take that as permission to hang a poster in IGA with your number:

“White male looking for someone to talk to me like a pirate. Call (***)***-**** and call me Scalywag”
    That is deeply offensive.

You think I'm so old that I want the old ladies that shop at IGA calling me?

I'm not sure I want anyone from Lebanon calling me.

They do have the best pork chops though!

Actual sign posted at the Lebanon IGA. Apparently some of the “old ladies” there don’t wear pants. That or T-Dogg stopped in…

Yep. He's been out-of-stock for a bit, so I signed up for the email notification and jumped on it as soon as I got it.

Seems like a great person to work with.
Cool. Did you get the green and black scales model? I saw the back in stock email as well and it was gone again. I have the black scales model.

And yes, he was great when I ordered mine.
