    Morning all... :coffee:

A challenge I have as well, waking up early and having a difficult time getting back to sleep. When I was married an "intimate moment" would help me get back to sleep, but since I've been divorced that's not an option. I usually toss and turn and hour or two and if I'm lucky, can fall back to sleep. Today was one of the days when it didn't work, so I'm up after only 6 hours of sleep. Good luck with your sleep needs.
I've tried the intimate moment trick. I stopped because she just kept saying "get off me, you're too heavy". :):

Well ladies, and gentlemen I'm awake again.
I wake up, and have been having problems falling asleep for hours.
However, once I do get back to sleep my internal alarm goes off around 0500-0530 daily.
What do you all do to help get back to sleep?
Wife uses a rubber mallet on me.

When I have trouble sleeping I will sit up and scroll through instagram until my eyes get tired then I lay down and I am out soon. If instead I just keep laying there then mind will keep thinking of things and I will be up much longer.

If I can, I try to read for a while until I feel tired enough to go back to sleep. I use an e-ink kindle for this so that I don't have any screen glare or backlight, which can cause issues with sleep. My problem is that I wake up hungry, so it's rare that I can get back to sleep without getting up to eat something and if I do that, I usually get a cup of coffee to go with it and then I'm up for the day.
