OK.....we get to the range today. The spouse did the safety video and got her card. We load out to the bays and set up. I spend some time with her getting her back in the saddle. as it has been a solid 25 years for her. She did well and was running the 9mm's after 5 mags through the GSG .22

Me, I am an idiot. I get all excited to shoot the copperHeasd with the new Wizard installed night sights. At the line, slam home a mag, slide drops into battery on it's own as it always does (I ****ing hate that ****) and I assume the firing position. I squeeze the trigger......the hammer drops.....no bang.......the mag falls out of the gun. OK, now I am not only pi$$ed but a bit embarrassed. I pick up the Mag and try to seat in the gun....no joy. BA comes over and casually points out I am stuffing a 9mm Mag for a Phantom into a 97B .45......................................Duh

CM, I have a story to tell you. :n00b:

Had a great range trip last night. Although, it was a little crowded. Going to the range now seems to mean finding things to spend money on. I need some new magazine springs and the satin nickel compact has finally worn out its recoil spring. I managed to deal for some .45acp and there was 1k of .223 on the porch when I got home. The .45 was enough to hold me over until my order arrives. I now have at least a little plinking ammo in all four calibers that I shoot. :yesway:

Range trip put smiles on our faces all evening.
Spouse was asking about stance and point up. She is going to be a good point shooter in a short while.
