Yes, I agree, but in other countries the governments base their laws on other religions. My point is that, these days, making laws based upon a religious belief is a slippery slope. We don't want a theocracy, as in Iran, etc.

The founding of the US involved many Christians, Deists, etc. I think it's a mischaracterization to claim that the founding was exclusively by Christians, for Christians.
