Okay. I had this in the "Are you kidding me" thread.
But that's in the break room. My mistake.
    So I'm copying it here.

Massive stockpile of bottled water found in Puerto Rico a year after Maria

Wasn't sure where to put this.
I think earlier, it was posted there were huge amounts of food found. Now a buttload of water.

So, all the people that were complaining about the "response" to the hurricane that went through Puerto Rico..
Looks like there was a great response.
But it looks like the local governments dropped the ball.
The same one that had the shirts printed up for photo ops.

Big whup. A million bottles of water is about 1/2 days worth for 1/3 of the island's residents.

I suppose the number impresses some.

It impresses me that the people screaming about "no supplies" did in fact "have supplies".
You'd think their being so "short" on the supplies, it would be easier to distribute said supplies.

In your case, water on a runway is no big deal then.

If you want a dog in this fight, please provide information on all those folks in PR who died from dehydration after this water was delivered.

Yeah, I certainly have much less of a "dog in the fight" ( LOL) than you do, seeing as how I have family there.

Countering the nonsense of someone who thinks that a million bottles of water is insignificant in a natural disaster scenario does not seem to be a good use of my time.

You already said your family had water within 2 days. I spent more than a year in Puerto Rico between military service and our plant in Ponce. Who knows how much DNA I left on that island.
