Missed this gem. Basically, we could come together if Democrats don't pursue pretty much their entire platform.

Exactly, which is why there will never be any 'coming together' lol, the democrats are just way too far left for that. The best we can hope for is to keep the GA Senate seats and have gridlock. I'm guessing that for most that threw their vote away to biden in protest against orange man bad that they thought the Senate was pretty safe, now not so much.

In our lifetimes when have we really ever set back the deep state? Set back the roll to socialism? Communism? Are there more freedoms than when you were a kid?

The only exception to the roll, I can see, was the election of Trump. Freedom increased overall. That is why the world, yes, you read that right the ****ing world had to stop Trump. He was upsetting their game...

Their game is selling out our country, the result is you are a poor slave with no rights...

I’m not disagreeing with your point. It does seem well set up for the media to bring about circumstances to help install the candidate they wanted. It seemed evident from the beginning of the election that the media wanted Harris. Then Tulsi deconstructed her during the first debate. It’s quite possible Joe is destined to be 25th’d. But about the Bush administration, Cheney sort of acted as the defacto president in the first term. Bush distanced himself from Cheney in the second. I don’t think Cheney had as much power in his last 4 years. Biden, I’m sure, will have his ear bent heavily to Harris. Or, Idunno. Hell. Maybe Biden is just acting like the senile old fool he’s been throughout the election season, and he only brought Harris onto the ticket to become the WH ho.

One of the traditional roles of VP, at least while I've been involved in the process, seems to be as stalking horse for what might be unpopular ideas. The VP floats the trial balloons, and if they prove too unpopular, the prez retains plausible deniability

To a certain extent, Trump reveresed those roles

Now back to the topic. Kut asked why I am so in to this election. Here is an example that will only get worse in time and we are powerless to stop it.

As many of you already know we learned last week that Visa blacklisted Gab and we are now unable to process credit and debit card transactions. We learned more information this week and I think it’s important that I share it as a warning for others.
It’s not just Gab that is blacklisted. It’s also my family.
In China there is something called the Social Credit System, which was developed by the Communist Chinese Party as a “national reputation system.” This system tracks the “trustworthiness” of individuals, businesses, and organizations. “Trustworthiness” here means total and complete submission to the Chinese Communist Party. If the Communist Party deems you to be untrustworthy, you are denied access to plane tickets, train tickets, opening and operating businesses, and more.
To most Americans this sounds horrifying, and it is. I now know from first-hand experience because this social credit system exists in the United States. While it may not be sanctioned by the United States government, it most certainly has been deployed by US corporations who today have in many ways more power, data, and control over our lives than our government does. Many of these corporations also happen to be endorsing and raising money for communist organizations, revolutionaries, and the domestic terrorists burning down our cities.
We were told this week that not only is Gab blacklisted by Visa as a business, but my personal name, phone number, address, and more are all also blacklisted by Visa. If I wanted to leave Gab tomorrow (something that isn’t going to happen) and start a lemonade stand I wouldn’t be able to obtain merchant processing for it.

Because they archaic enough that they aren’t relevant anymore. They remain on the books, unenforced, until repealed. But back to kids getting married, plenty, and I mean a lot allow children to get married via certain waivers. Some states allow the waivers, some don’t.

I'll leave this alone after this because it's not really germane to the topic at hand, but using the 14th ammendment to justify a defense of codifying gay marriage by means of a SCOTUS opinion has ramifications I don't think you've considered. By your logic, one could argue that laws against pedophilia are unconstitutional.

I appreciate the notion expressed by jamil and others regarding "coming together" and avoiding at all costs a brewing physical conflict between the sides, or at the least a separation, but gems like this make me wonder if you will be thinking the same should you find yourself at some point in the future reaching as far as you can through the fence of a gulag for bits of grass to satiate your hunger while wishing you hadn't waited so long to realize there was no negotiating with those who've now relagated your status to political and societal pariah truly deserving of such treatment. Hyperbolic, yes, but we've all seen it play this way before. The art in this is knowing when we're approaching the point of no return, and I think most of us will admit that we are closer than we were.

This very argument was made over and over right in the forum. Made me sick. Still does.

Congratulations. You just received the first negative rep I have ever sent.

If you really are a 2A supporter maybe they will not scratch your guns when they take them away...

Lol, I feel so privileged! Love you too, grandpa!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to buckwacker again.

I do disagree that folks think we are closer, they don't act like they think we are closer. I think of INGO as a bellwether or a canary in the mine, if they can't see it, the general population cannot for sure. Reminds me of the whole discussion with the usual suspects about "most important election in history", they cannot see how the next 4 years of decisions will set us on a course from which there will be no return.

If Biden is inaugurated Chinese control, big tech, big media, globalization and the diminishment of the individual will all reach points of no return...

If Trump is inaugurated we have a chance to meaningfully fight these, the above is guaranteed, all we get here is a fair shot to fight from...
