    A felon only to the government. With how often they are handing out the title of felon, I feel the term has dimmed recently. And to answer your questions, yes.

    The same as some of the liberal cry babies that hang out on here....I find something remotly close and then blow it completely out of the water.

    I think we can all just be thankful that IndyMonkey lives in the 2000s and not in the 1700s. If he were a part of the Continental Congress, can you imagine what his role would have been? "Guys! The king isn't going to like this! I don't think I can associate with you guys, you're talking about ILLEGAL stuff! The King said we couldn't meet! We're going to be felons! He'll hang us."

    Just because a corrupt government tells you that you CAN'T do something, doesn't mean you actually can't do something. It just means they are trying to tell you what to do. I don't know about you guys, (I do know about you Tory wimps) but I do not like being told what I can and cannot do with my own body.

    Touchy subject their as to where your freedoms end and anothers begins. I don't want my pilots drunk or high....But if the government doesn't tell them not to be, what would be the result on some flights?

    Parties yes, but sooner or later someone is gonna crash from poor reaction time. And then they have trampled all over everyone elses right to life and pursuit of happiness etc. etc..

    I know. It was a rhetorical question. But unfortunately some people on here will simply never get it, and will never agree that our government overreaches itself and assumes powers not permitted to it under the Constitution. They're happy with whatever the government does, as long as it's not legislating THEM out of something THEY like.

    I might not side with the police if they had not "discovered a grinder, a pipe and a small amount of marijuana." But since they did discover that stuff, go go police, getting a little bit of drugs off the street is better than getting none at all.

    Huh...I thought many users were extremely overly simplistically clear on this. Our freedoms and rights end when they do harm to other people or could harm other people. Consuming alcohol is legal. Do pilots crash often from being drunk?

    You guys can't win this argument, because you're wrong. I'm sorry to put it that bluntly, because there are very rare occasions when right and wrong is crystal clear. We have the right to do what we want with our own bodies. I'm going to beat that into you until it is understood. We have the RIGHT to do what we want with our own bodies.

    As Americans, we've been there. We've done that.

    Do you remember the outrage, rallies, marches, town hall speeches, petitions, lawsuits filed against the Health Care insurance scam? We had the majority on our side and they still said "WE DON'T GIVE A F*** WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT."

    We can't even get the majority of INGO to support the legalization of recreational drugs, some support it, but only marijuana, some support it, but want it taxed heavily. Very few of us actually believe we have the RIGHT to do what we want to our own bodies, as long as we aren't harming others or putting others in harms way. If we can't convince a freedom loving group like INGO that, I can't see Washington D.C. letting us speak with much of an open mind. They are getting way too many kickbacks from gigantic pharmaceutical companies that would be put out of business if marijuana was legal. When the government is the force driving the oppression talking to them doesn't do much good.

    that is what this country is turning into rapidly unless we all take a stand the jbts and holster sniffers love it but its not working out for the rest of us.

    To address the 'dangers' of Marijuana... I posted this in another thread but it still applies:

    This discussion pops up from time to time on the board and it is always interesting to read. I have no problem with marijuana becoming legalized for medical and recreation uses.

    Most people who are against the legalization of marijuana for recreational use, they are against the use of it because of their moral compass (usually). Whether it is illegal or not, they continue to abstain from it

    I hear both sides from the medical community say that marijuana has no real medical use that other prescriptions cannot fulfill. I don't know how true this is because I am not a doctor. It would be hard for me to believe that any good doctor would recommend the combustion of a plant for treatment. However, marijuana and its THC content and other cannabinoids can be converted to oils/pill form. This is obviously a much healthier way to take a drug than to smoke it.

    I was prescribed Marinol last year and this year by a doctor. Marinol (Dronabinol) is synthetic THC. Yes, it does share the same side effects of smoking a joint. I was really hungry, my eyes were very dry and I giggled a lot while watching Shrek in a totally new manner. It also preventing me from vomiting when I was ill and made me want to eat when I didn't want to eat to prevent weight loss (now I'm trying to lose weight!).

    The positives: I don't go to jail/lose my guns/become a felon/use something where the origin of the drug may be suspect.

    The negatives: Marinol is missing some of the cannabinoids/chemicals that marijuana contains. Those missing chemicals may be important for the 'healing effects' of marijuana. Marinol MUST be refrigerated. If I am going on an all day trip or visiting relatives, I must pack a little cooler to take Marinol with me or do with out. I don't know if it this intentional or not, my guess is yes, to prevent street movement of Marinol. How can it be cost effective to manufacturer synthesized THC rather than to just grow a plant?

    To put on my tinfoil hat, the legalization of marijuana further contributes to the cultural apathy and general neglect that modern culture already suffers from.

    Whether or not weed was illegal does not change my use, or lack thereof, of the drug.

    People always quote the nonviolence of those who smoke up but don't mention the dead beat parents who do nothing but think of smoking up and neglect their kids.

    Of course, that being said... I'm more interested in freedom than hypothetical safety of imaginary kids in a discussion.

    We also have the right to be treated like an adult by our government. It is very hard to make that case evidence to the government in power who disagrees when so few of its citizens chose to ACT like an adult. My two cents!
