I received the books I ordered from Sheriff Mack today. Some have expressed hesitation about sending this books as no one has been able to actually read the book. I just finished reading the book. I have to say its inspiring. I for one agree with every word in the book and have the highest regard for the author now that I have read it.
Take this for what its worth, my opinion. I will say this in general. If you are extreme left wing, a Marxist or a Socialist you might find offense in this book. If you are a American that believes in the Constitution and the principles it represents then you might just find yourself applauding this book.
These are some brief notes I made.
In the forward it talks about the founders of America and how the efforts of our present government are in opposition to what they strived for.
In general it states that the government is too big. It stress's this is a republic. It stress's the Constitution. It also talks about balance and checks in the government.
Referenced is the Brady Bill and how Sheriff Mach brought a law suite against the bill.
It talks about abuse of power and how some police are pressured to bring in the numbers.
About half way through the book it starts relating directly to sheriffs. Responsibilities, what they can do and why they should do it. It talks about the oath that sheriffs take.
There is no finger pointing in the book. In general it talks about what is wrong in our government and what can be rightfully done to combat things like gun control.
After reading the book I have no reservations what so every of supporting this effort to send a copy to every sheriff in Indiana.
