Sen. Joe Donnelly voted for Reid's anti gun measure. He is not our friend. Liberalism, a good place to start How Liberalism Violates All 10 Commandments

Donnely is one liberal of many. No one is disputing that many or most liberals are anti-gun. What is disputed is the assertion that ALL liberals are anti-gun. I asked for a definition of liberalism, specifically, I wanted to know what part of the definition of liberal identifies the tenant that makes them uniquely anti-gun.

The link is not an answer to the question I asked. This has nothing to do with religion or the 10 commandments.

And all conservatives are open minded?
Political affiliation has little to do with the employment of logic when evaluating a given position. "Open minded" is a ridiculous characterization. The correct attribute is HONEST. Can one honestly look at the information and still believe X? IOW, if the information contradicts one's opinion, it's a dishonest person who continues to cling to it. The flip side is that an honest person can admit that what was previously held to be true has been negated by new information. I used to be a "Why would anyone ever need a ......" kind of gal. I wasn't completely opposed to firearms ownership or firearms in general, but it was a far cry from the "Cold dead hands" opinion I now carry. I don't wear it like a badge of honor either. It's simply a testament to the fact that I was HONEST when I evaluated the information. The information only supports one conclusion. I had no interest in clinging to an opinion that had no basis in reality.

I find it interesting how we humans can be guilty of exactly what we accuse others of, and not recognize that fact.
There's no hypocrisy. Just a weak effort at putting into words the difference between people who have a vested interest in keeping an absolute falsehood alive despite the evidence to the contrary and those who ignorantly believe the lie in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.

Hello, my name is Dan, I'm a liberal. And I love my guns. Nice yo meet you.
That's nothing new. Lots of dems/libs/socialists/marxists love THEIR guns. It's the guns that other people own that they want to control. I expect you don't fall into this group, but you haven't exactly made the point you thought you were trying to make either.

If INGO members can appreciate Fletch even turning ONE anti into a pro-2A supporter, every single person here should rep the hell out of him for that. Or shake his hand & buy him a drink. Or all of it. :):
    Why?

Alright, I'll stand corrected on your political stance. But it really makes no difference. Simply because a gun hating conservative is no different than a gun loving liberal. Both cancel each other out. Back to the "honest thief".

Your queen $h!t attitude may impress your husband or boyfriend, but it bores the hell out of me.

I'm beginning to wonder if you're able to treat anyone like an individual human being. It's easy to see why talking to people seems like so much effort on your part.

And because of learning from him (the basic facts AND the way to present them) I've paid it forward bringing others along as well. In other words, he's kind of responsible for more than a few added to the numbers of "The Cold Dead Hands" group.

jamil, ok you did not bother to read it. Can you not read past the religious tones as to the description of liberalism? Name one anti gun push that does not have the far left of the democratic party (true liberals) behind it under this tyrant. I really don't want to spoon feed anyone, but I hope this will satisfy your question.......The Liberal Anti-Gun Fallacy - The Last Resistance | The Last Resistance

Harry Reid. A+ rating from the NRA yet first to call those who helped the Utah rancher domestic terrorists.

A lot of gun people are confused about the NRA Reid endorsement. When it became evident the 2010 Harry Reid / Sharon Angle race was becoming too close to call, because Angle kept sticking her foot in her mouth regarding Hispanics, the NRA made a deal with Harry Reid. He was willing to "be bought" by the NRA because he thought he needed them to defeat Angle at the time. He was probably right. The race was very close.

No one knows for sure what type of deal was made. Neither the NRA or Reid discussed it much. A large portion of the NRA membership was crying loudly about it. But if you think about it, all of it made perfect sense. Having a Democratic Senate Majority Leader somewhat "in your pocket", made a lot more sense than backing a losing conservative. It all panned out. Reid won, Angle was sent packing.

Before Sandy Hook, Reid was quoted as saying when asked, if the subject of gun control would come up this past session, he said "there was no time for it". He was then asked about it when the Senate reconvened in the new year. He said, "Fat chance." The fact of the matter is Reid doesn't want to deal with gun control anymore than the NRA does. Gun legislation has been very toxic for the Democrats. If another Assault Weapons Ban were to pass, (which as we all now know didn't), Reid knows he would lose his powerful job as Senate Majority Leader in the 2014 mid term elections. As it turned out he didn't even allow it to come up for a vote, in spite of the fact he knew it wouldn't pass. He didn't want ANY Dems on record for supporting gun control. Pro gun voters have excellent memories.

The NRA getting into bed with Reid is a classic example of keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer. Sometimes, as this proves, it pays to, "make a deal with the devil". In this case it couldn't have worked out better. Absolutely nothing came gun control wise from the fallout of the Newtown shooting. Everyone who was criticizing the NRA for endorsing Reid wound up having to eat crow. Under the circumstances it was the smartest move they could have possibly made.

I'm beginning to wonder if you're able to treat anyone like an individual human being.

When they start acting like an arrogant smart ass with a pumped up attitude....Usually not.

It's easy to see why talking to people seems like so much effort on your part.

No effort at all really. It can become quite difficult to get through to people who lack common sense. For example when one starts talking as though a, "pro gun liberal", is of some type of benefit to gun owners that a gun hating liberal isn't.

Name one anti gun push that does not have the far left of the democratic party (true liberals) behind it under this tyrant.

Not just Obama, but ANY Democrat. The Democratic Party is the party of gun banning. Always has been, and always will be. They are socialists, and gun ownership has no place what so ever in a socialists agenda, period. It's that cut and dried. I'm not saying the Republicans are the end all, cure all for gun owners. Far from it. But the fact of the matter is that every major gun control bill going all the way back to the National Firearms Act of 1934, all the way to the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994, were ALL sponsored by, and voted into law by Democrats. That has never changed, and it never will.

Anyone who calls themselves supporters of the Second Amendment, and votes Democratic, is nothing more than a total hypocrite who is fooling themselves and no one else, except others who think just as foolishly. That is not political opinion, but FACT. That is the reason I want to puke when I hear the words "gun owner" and "liberal Democrat" collide in the same sentence.

    Wow.
I think we should go all "rabid dog" on each other.
Then, the anti-s can pick up the pieces.

Unless we have someone to fight, we tend to turn on each other.
This was a real friendly place in January of 2013 and for a while after that. Oh well, I rarely log in anymore anyways.
