Riots and what to do now?

If a riot breaks out, it will be in the same 3 cities its always in. No loss for the rest of the country. No one else will notice either if it wasn't for the 24/7 media frenzy that would cover it.

I can easily see there being about 10 major metro areas where rioting MIGHT occur....

Detroit
Cleveland
Oakland
Philly
Washington D.C.
Atlanta.... to name a few. Maybe even Indy....

When 9/11 occurred we were more concerned about the locals than any terrorist's. That is still how we prepare for any situation. Thugs, thieves and idiots will seize any opportunity to take advantage and run amok. They know no better and see not one thing wrong with these actions. We as a family are ready for anything like this and will defend our property against those who would take from it. Riots breed idiocy of epic proportions. Stay aware.

I will be driving from WI through IL back to IN on Tues night/Wed morning
Thankfully, NOT through Chicago, but will hit Rockford, Bloomington, and Champaign. Probably little chance of things happening in those three, but I will be prepared, as I always am while on the road. Might take several more extra mags on that trip though.

Has anybody given any thought to what will happen if Obama loses the election and riots break out? What if the govt begins to scale back and cuts people off from their money? What would happen if people rioted like in Greece? My town is small but if say Indy was in turmoil, I don't think my job would continue. Any major disruptions would be bad for us all. I could possibly see major rioting on the coasts and especially Illinois. If many people were cut off from benefits it would be OWS on steroids! Just a question on actions, outcomes.

To be honest, I've given this thought on several occasions while watching the 92 LA riots live, and subsequently several times on youtube.

The most important thing I will do in a riot is step on the gas, no, really.
