It'll end up being some stupid little crap. It always is.

Something similar happened when I worked at Purdue. A student shot a student guidance counselor. I can't recall if he died or not, but something says no.
This incident was over being turned in to the police department for smoking pot in the dorms.
They shooter in this case thought the counselor had "ruined his life".

    It's ALWAYS something stupid.

Mg, he died. Shotgun slug at muzzle contact.

I did the prosecution of the co-conspirator.

The shooter was from my neighborhood. Didn't know him or his family, though.

"Unfortunate" is a far too mild word to use here. These people are the ENEMY. Enemies of the freedom and liberty so many Americans have sacrificed so much for. We must vigorously defend those freedoms and liberties against these enemies. We cannot let emotional arguments rule the day, especially in this case. Somehow linking Newtown and the events today at Purdue University is more proof these enemies of freedom and liberty will use any and all means at their disposal to achieve their goals.

It's unfortunate that some people will never understand the fact that stricter gun laws will not solve a daggum thing?

PU is a gun free zone. No guns allowed.

Only by campus policy, it's not illegal. The worst they can do is ask you to leave. Not that I would advocate doing something like that right now, but it's only a gun free zone because of their private property rights (not that an entity as publicly funded as Purdue should enjoy private property rights, but that's another matter...)

Sorry that my sarcasm didn't shine through. Agree 100%
