Multiple soucres tell @ABC7Chicago Eyewitness News Jussie Smollet and the 2 men who are being questioned by police staged the attack - allegedly because his character was being written out of the show Empire.

Someone familiar with the investigation says Smollet was a no-show for an interview earlier today with detectives. All of this coming hours after Smollett spoke to @GMA speaking out in his first media interview taking aim at those who doubted his story.

Exactly. Fake hate crimes do just as much damage and perpetuates the civil discourse as the real thing. I have no tolerance for those that create in order to divide.

Well it's either a hoax or the two Nigerians had a beef with Smollet and attacked him. Smollet says he has no doubt that the two shadowy figures were his attackers and reports are the two Nigerians were identified as the shadowy figures. What gives here?

Chicago PD already had his phone records, even after he refused to turn them over. But they wanted to see if Smollett would be honest. Instead, he gave redacted records on PDF, and deleted the contacts of his cohorts. That made it easy to narrow it down to the redactions in comparing the two.

Dude ****ed up. Hopefully he pays dearly for it.

who according to reports at one of the links I gave above were extras on whatever show Smollett was in.

They also reportedly flew to Nigeria After the attack. The Chicago PD pick them up when they came back to Chicago.
