    Denny Alert: Worked for a German company and they would bring new hires to Germany for orientation in September so they could experience Octoberfest. Don’t ask me why it’s not called Septemberfest. Never found out.

    Halloween decorations are already appearing in stores, there will be Christmas decorations at the end of October… people are inherently impatient.
    When I worked at Wally World in college, we'd start getting Halloween stuff before back to school sales ended and Christmas decorations started trickling in before mid-September. They would store the Christmas stuff in locked semi trailers parked behind the store until early November. Once the Christmas decorations went out, the trailers were used to stockpile goods expected to be popular gifts for Christmas.
