I agree with you. Go to Mumbai, Beijing, or some of those large cities and its incredible just how clean the air is here.

And most of the air pollution in South Korea floats over from Red China. I was in Beijing at a good time, and my throat was borderline sore most of the time.

In all my trips to Beijing I've had 2 days where it was actually nice. I was lucky that one of those days was when I went to see the Forbidden City, and the other was the Great Wall.

Otherwise it was painful to even breath, and my eyes felt like I had giant rocks in them. I blew my nose solid black for a week after I got home in most cases.

I've got a roommate from Shanghai. Upon returning home from break, after spending several months in the US, the pollution caused him nose bleeds. He had an irritated sinus system for several days after returning to the US.
