This time justice will be served. Go ahead, kick.

Justice was served. The officer was prosecuted and the government failed to prove its case. The government was held to its burden and it failed.

Wait, are INGOtarians in favor of the Constitution or against the Constitution today? I lose track because of inconsistencies.

The court reached a legal outcome. That is not synonymous with justice. I cannot begin to relate to a person who lives by the philosophy, "if the government decrees it, it is just."

From what little I've been able to find, it looks to me like the judge found a defense of impossibility. What are your thoughts on whether that would/could apply in this circumstance?

The justice system worked as designed regardless of the outcome. I find no cause to believe the system was circumvented to achieve this particular outcome.

I guess there are different functional definitions of the word "worked"

    Charged
    arraigned
    tried
    aquitted/convicted

    "worked"

the only problem with the system is that it's full of people. And they have any number of issues and problems.

    There's also

    appealed
    conviction upheld
    appealed again
    conviction upheld
    appealed again
    conviction upheld
30+ years later, exonerated because evidence used to convict had been tampered with, confession had been beaten out of the convict, or simple DNA tests cleared him.

    "worked"

    Happens every day
    people fail
who did the beating, tampering? The system?
no, people in the system abusing the system.

"the system" in not a defendant
    you can't sue "the system"
    you can't accuse "the system"

The court reached a legal outcome.

Just not the one INGOtarians wanted thus it is "unjust".

The INGOtarian Queen of Hearts system--sentence first then trial, depending on politics--is invalid as it is unjust.

Put your Tyranny pom poms down and see that the government's evidence was tested and failed.
