People that shoot regularly but never carry?

Just curious how many here shoot regularly (or even once a month) but never leave the house armed? Shooting with a new acquaintance today, very safe and accurate but told me he never carries a gun. I remember Coach opining at one of his matches that he knew several of participants looked on shooting as an enjoyable and challenging game but never carried a gun. Just curious what the numbers would look like and reasons some might have for not carrying?

I shoot weekly and do drills at home. I am armed 100% of the time.

I can respect their decision not to carry. If they do not believe that they could shoot someone in an emergency, then that carried gun will be taken away by the bad guy.

I work in banks and they frown on me being armed. They pay me a lot of money so I don't carry when I'm working. If I'm not working my gun is on my hip.

Banks are funny, a place that needs security has a few cameras and alarms. It seems to me the more armed customers, the better. We have a credit union right near where an interstate and a State highway cross. They have been robbed by armed thieves a few times. They put up a sign, not the generic Glock outline under a red crossbar, but a real sign that basically spells out they don't care who you are, what license or job you have, they don't want you in the building. The sign went up, my money came out and we have not done business since.

I thought about that but figured you would chime in. No one wants to see me with my pants off but I would still be carrying pistol, in my cute little paws.

I do not understand your point. Not everyone has the emotional ability to do potentially fatal harm to another. Punching holes in paper, or even killing game, is different from killing another human being.
