Peanut butter sandwich with chili?

I eat my chili with a dip or two of peanut butter IN it. I always tend to get a reaction when I make my bowl. I simply hand them a spoon, give them a bite, and hand them the bottle of peanut butter.

I've done that too. Its pretty good but I prefer having the sandwich on the side.

I'm with Oliver on this. Most peanut butter nowadays comes in plastic bottles. When I think jar I think glass.

I have to take it one step further. Growing up we always had a peanut butter and lettuce sandwich for chili.

Wife's family does that. I think its strange. Although they do peanut butter AND butter.

Then I get weird looks when I mention my family sometimes served the chili over elbow or spaghetti noodles.

Never heard of this before.... sounds odd. And they definitely did NOT do that at school when I was growing up.

Though PB is awesome, and yummy with things like jam, jelly, cheese, and bananas, so.....

Might just have to give it a try.

I remember eating it like this in school which is the last time I had it that way. I had no problem with it but I don't do that when I make mine.

Chili is a delicacy all it's own and should be enjoyed without distractions. Bacon is always a great appetizer and desert both.

I like to put the peanut butter right into my chili and mix it up so it becomes creamy and delicious. Then I add sour cream, onions, and sriracha.

This must be a Yankee thing. When I was a kid in the South and we had chili with a sandwich, it was always a grilled cheese. That combo is great. While I like PB & J I don't think it would be my sandwich of choice with a bowl of red. I'll stick to the grilled cheese.
