Do you think any of these LMNOPs, or whatever they call themselves now, understand that, in Islam, Jesus is considered a prophet? So the lame-arsed "Christians" may not do anything about their shenanigans on opening day, but they may get some Imams bent out of shape. Just sayin...

    Maybe nobody noticed yet.
It was in the middle of the night (French time) so not many people noticed.
And most journalists were asleep I would imagine. :dunno:

I just saw an article about that in a Parisian newspaper this morning.
The power outage lasted about 10 minutes, in 4 districts of Paris (out of 20).

A few X users posted pictures of their district not affected by the power outage ...

Others wrongly claimed that the entire city was affected when they just showed a few streets without lights.

I dont watch the Olympics so I don't know if this was posted along with the freakshow

    :lmfao:

I haven't seen the opening ceremony so I don't know if that was really depicted but a ménage à trois is nothing shocking over here, or even newsworthy.

I know in the US it's often wrongly translated as "threesome" where in reality it's nothing sexual.
It's what you guys call a "throuple", 3 people dating each other.

It's way less shocking than cheating on your spouse ... like millions of people do.
In a ménage à trois everybody is aware that 3 people are involved.

It's like cheating but without the dishonesty. If all people involved agree to that I see nothing wrong.

It's like cheating but without the dishonesty.
Interesting sentence. So, honest cheating is ok?

When is cheating ok and when is cheating not ok?

    cheating

    noun

    1. An act of deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition.
    2. A deception for profit to yourself.

Cross Country Horse Riding. Not sure I have seen this before. This is pretty entertaining, various jumps, running through and jumping in creeks.

It's like cheating. He is making use of a similie.

"It's like cheating but without the dishonesty. If all people involved agree to that I see nothing wrong."

I am having s difficult time grasping what you say; especially when one leeks at the next sentence. I am not an English major but when one says they see nothing wrong with cheating as long as it is not dishonest, it speaks loudly to me; and not as a simile. In the second sentence, the word "that" references what?

English was my worst subject. I would believe "that" refers to the first sentence.

    What does "It's" refer to?

In another sign that this Olympics has been taken over by the devil, this horse on the course is named "Diablo"!

You're getting me wrong, or maybe I wasn't clear enough.
Keep in mine I'm not a native English speaker.
I never said (or wanted to say) that there's nothing wrong with cheating.

In a ménage à trois (3 people in a relationship with each other) it's similar to cheating (having sex with another partner) but in that case everybody involved is aware of the situation and agrees with the terms and conditions of that relationship.
So you're not actually cheating, or lying to your spouse/partner.
That's why I mentioned a form of "honest cheating" (I know it's antinomic) ... so actually not cheating.

Honesty is what differentiates the two situations.
Cheating is obviously never morally right.

"It's like cheating but without the dishonesty."
they see nothing wrong with cheating as long as it is not dishonest
In both sentences the word "cheating" needs to be replaced with something else.
"cheating" is dishonest by definition so it doesn't fit the sentence or the premise.

You would never say "It is like cheating but without the cheating."

I would suggest polyamory. Those sentences could become...

    "Its like polyamory." period
they see nothing wrong with polyamory as long as it is not dishonest

I'll just be glad when it's over.
See. That's the advantage of not giving a ****. I don't have to withhold gladness until it's over. I don't care that it's not. I have no plans to watch any of it. But I don't mind the photos of hot women wearing skimpy sports outfits.
