Kroger has a digital coupon for sea scallops (frozen) $8/lb.. I'm going to pick some of those up too. Fresh Thyme wanted $16.99/lb. for theirs. :faint:
Bought two bags of Kroger frozen scallops a couple weeks ago.
First one went on the firepit last week while Wife was on vacation.

Still have one, but if they're on sale again, I'll grab some more for later.
Lots of firepit weather coming, I presume.

Howdy BD. It's a digital coupon this week for the scallops. Normally $10/lb.. I'm going to get a couple pounds at least. May blacken a few to have with the blackened tuna tomorrow! I want to bacon-wrap some and grill them too. Maybe with some shrimp I need to use.

I miss creative cooking. My ex and I both worked at Friday's as cooks. Her brother was also a foodie. When he would come visit, oh man.

One of my favorites was to make a crab stuffing, then butterfly shrimp. I'd do a "matchstick cut" on red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and jalapeno. I'd lay one of each down the center of the shrimp, add a dollop of the crab stuffing, then wrap it in bacon. Skewer several of them and grill. I think I used some garlic butter to baste them with.

They also had some LARGE scallops for about double. Bought a bag.
Plan is to bacon wrap those.
