    I kind of always thought that all that jumping crickets do was mostly about defense.
    I know they're predators, but I just saw one pounce on a good size grass spider.
    Sitting here, birdwatching.

    I walked over, expecting to see the fight of the year, but the spider was gone before I walked 15ft. Cricket strolled away.
    Found the spider, no abdomen, legs and cephalothorax still wiggling.
    I just learned something about both.
